This one is for my son. Happy son's day. Lyrics: We’re listening for something new Please show us what to do Someone to take us to The simpler side of the world You’ll learn of the mess we make And It might make your hair curl These nights, I can’t wait To feel the weight of you These days are made Of our love for you There’s light shining through your bones You’re everything except alone Messages sent from home Tell the truth for all our sake And call this spade a spade While I try not to be afraid These nights, I keep Dreaming of the sound of you These days are made Of our love for you Soon you will crawl and speak Soon you’ll stand and yell As waves forget the ocean The ocean never forgets a wave Moon Moon Moon more

They kept the fire
This is the first song I ever shared. its an ode to my parents and about figuring out who you are from where you start. Thanks for hearing it. Lyrics ~~ When I left my mold I couldn’t hold my own I didn’t look around at the inside I didn’t trust my mind So I hung around a little while in the Bitter cold They kept the fire Feeling so warm They kept the fire so Brother brought me the city oh To find my lungs And I’m a little bit of everything now Oh what a lesson I had When I left my home I thought I was alone But I’m a little bit of everybody Oh what a lesson I had Oh yeah what lesson uh huh When I left my mold I could stand my god So I hung around a little while with my Mama and her man, and her man They kept the fire Burning so warm They kept the fire so Brother brought me the city oh To find my legs And I’m a little bit of everywhere now What a lesson I had When I left my home I thought I was alone But I’m a little bit of everybody Oh what a lesson I had Oh what a lesson uh huh Dodging bottle rockets Crystals in our pockets They kept the fire They kept the fire Dodging bottle rockets Crystals in our pockets They kept the fire They kept the fire Dodging bottle rockets Crystals in our pockets They kept the fire They kept the fire more
